Buddhavarapu Charitable Trust has been founded by Late Dr. Buddhavarapu Venkat Rao , a well known doctor who worked for the Govt of Andhapradesh in the East Godavari dist. After retirement from the Government service, Late Dr. Rao started a free medical practice in his native village of Polamuru. Late Dr. Rao has been conducting regular free medical checkups for the poor and down trodden families in the vicinity.
To strengthen this initiative and give a momentum to the charitable endeavours, Late Dr . Rao along with his son S N Kumar Buddhavarapu, who is a well known business man and a person with commitment and dedication towards charitable endeavours embarked to form the family trust which is christened as BUDDHAVARAPU CHARITABLE TRUST. The motto of the trust is to impart free Computer Education, Medical Camps, Community Development, Mid Day Meals, Godavari Harathi, Construction of Hindu Religious Temples, Community Centers and National Integration Programmes.
One of the initial endeavours of the trust was to embark on the construction of the of the Lord Dattatreya temple in Polamuru village which was inaugurated by his holiness Sri Ganapati Satchidananda Swami on 24-4-2005. This was a momentous and landmark event for the Buddhavarapu Charitable Trust. This landmark event also included the construction of various other temples for the near and dear of Late Dr. Rao. A Navagraha Pratishta was done in the memory of his Grand Father Late Buddhavarapu Suryanarayana. A Ramalakshmana Sita Sameta Anjaneya Swamy Temple was built in memory of his father & mother Late Buddhavarapu Venkata Surya Gopalam & Hanumayammaa. A Lord Lakshmi Ganapati Temple, was built in memory of his brother and his wife Late Buddhavarapu Suryanarayana & Suryabhaskaram. A Godess Gnana Saraswati Temple, was built in the memory of his Sister Rayavarapu Satya kumari. A Kalyana Venkateshwara Temple was built in memory of his son-in-law Late Mujuluri Venkata Prabhakar.The inauguration of the variuos temples was a grand gala event in East Godavari dist. The event was marked by participation of a mammoth gathering of people from all walks of society vis-a-vis religious leaders, political leaders and philanthropists. Besides the above, a team of Honorable ministers,Chairmen’s of State Owned Corporations, Advisors to the State Govts, MLA’s, noted Industrialists from the State of Andhra Pradesh and all over India also participated to make the event a grand success.
